šérḳaḥ šin ḳö́ṣho di-beʸh ŝkaˁ ‘A certain thorny plant appeared in our area’ (CSOL I 18:31)

‘To be born, to come out of the womb’: 

ˁíggoʰ éľľehe be-dέfɛʰ di-méḳṣeʰ di-ṭíyoʰ wa-tóˀo šérḳaḥ šáṭar atéẓ̂aˁ ‘A cow gave birth on the edge of a gorge, and when the calf came out, it staggered’ (CSOL I 25:13)

‘To be born from, to be the offspring of somebody (men)’:
