ˁö́mor énhi de di-yebóre tho ráḥmatu ḷḷáhu ˁaľáyhi tóˁod di-ḳáˁar wa-nokíˁin tri fengáni di-ḥámˀi wa-yhen édef ṭad ḷe-ˁífef ľiˀénne émḷeg ke ľiṣḷób hey wa-gédaḥk wa-ḳídɛr ˁífef wa-ḷaṭ ḳeṣámen noˁónet tɛ be-ḥámˀi wa-ṭeḥémo érhon ‘My father – God’s mercy upon him – said to me: “Go to the house and fetch two cups of ghee.” Meanwhile, the other men (of the house) grabbed (and slaughtered) a goat-kid – because the visitor insisted they not slaugher (a large, adult animal) for him. When I got there, they had already cooked up the kid, and so we had our breakfast, dipping the meat into the ghee. Then at last, our goats were released’ (CSOL III 17:6)
