We tried to stop it by hurling stones, but it leapt towards us, snorting. We fled, and the cow was behind us, bounding and wheezing all the way. I looked to see where I could jump and saw an m.-tree in front of me, and I jumped into it, whereas my friend jumped onto a boulder. So the cow passed between the two of us’ (CSOL III 3:8)
