a. ẓ̂otéˁeb aˀḥmíreʰ eẓ̂ṭáˁab maḥáŝeʰ ˁö́ḳab méʸhen féḳrᵋhɛr dor men eẓ̂ṭáˁab ‘Some donkeys began to bite each other terribly, and blood appeared on their necks because of that mutual biting’ (Bulakh 2024:139)

b. tḥer be-nɔ́fšen be-ẓ̂íˁir aḷ-ˁeróben inέm áḷḷaʰ ódir héʸhen ˁaf yeẓ̂ṭéˁeb ‘They hurt each other by biting. And we said: “They hurt each other by biting. We do not know what in God’s name happened to them that they started biting each other”’ (Bulakh 2024:139–140)
