éḳdomk ḷe-ˁeyyúg ŝeybóbhon di-yešẓ̂áḥken ḷe-ṭahedédšen maḷ ˁad yešẓ̂áḥken ḷe-ṭahedédšen ḳotéḷeˁ be-máḥṣaṣ wa-ˁeŝ ṭad méʸhen wa-ˀö́ḳaŝ dɛg be-márḳaḥ id-ri ˁaf yešráḳaḥ dor ‘I saw some elderly men who were mocking each other. While they were mocking each other, they hurled pebbles, but then one of them stood up and hit another on the head with a stick, drawing blood’ (CSOL I 15:8)

‘To make fun of somebody (ḷe-)’:

ṭáhɛrk wa-šeẓ̂áḥikk ḷe-ṭeʸh ˁážeʰ di-ˀaḷ-ˁérobk tos ḳínoʰ aḷ-ḥemɛ́ḷoʰ wa-ḷeˁámoʰ ḥe di-fέne ‘I mocked a woman I didn’t know. Now she was still young. She couldn’t bear it and spat in my face’ (CSOL I 30:33)
